Old Made New

Our recent patch for The Book of Eldritch Might was very well received. About a thousand of you took advantage of the free download that updates the look of that book and adds in some of the related free content from our site. It's cool that we're able to make use of that aspect of electronic publishing and update a product you've already bought. We can give it a whole new look, fix a few errors, and add in some of the art that was in the print version.

So we've decided to do the same thing with our second-best-selling product, Book of Eldritch Might II: Songs and Souls of Power. You can get a free patch that gives the product a new layout, fixes some errors, and introduces some art originally found only in the print version. The new version takes less time to download and print than earlier versions as well. We think the patch makes the book much spiffier.

Now, should the thousands of you that bought the print versions of these books be upset? No. Both of these books came out before we fully merged the look of our PDF and print editions. The patches just make them look more like our recent releases and they add in some of the art that previously was only in the print version. Nowadays, if you buy an electronic version of a Malhavoc Press book, you're getting pretty close to an exact replica, page for page, of the print version. For these older products, that wasn't the case.
