Random Rune Description Generator

Okay, so now that you have The Book of Eldritch Might, you're busy creating new graven one characters, right? Perfecting the use of the Etch Object Rune and Item Image feats?

There are a lot of opportunities to use cool glyphs, runes, and tattoos in your games. However, if you're like me, you find it pretty tough to come up with a design for the fiftieth rune inscribed in the ancient tomb your characters are exploring (or God forbid they enter the stronghold of a group of graven ones!). What do all those runes look like?

Wonder no longer. I've put together some lists of potential visual descriptions that can come together to create cool runic images. Web developer extraordinaire Mark A. Jindra has created an instant generator application that you can use to create descriptions for one bizarre new runic image after another. Use it in conjunction with The Book of Eldritch Might, glyphs of warding, or symbols. The results of this generator can even serve as evocative hieroglyphs and emblems for organizations in your campaign -- you know, like the main image for the coat of arms of the Knights of the Red Curtain.

Note: This generator is optimized for Internet Explorer.
