The Book of Roguish Luck Errata and Clarifications

0

Sharp-eyed readers have raised a few questions about some classes and items in The Book of Roguish Luck. The author steps in to offer clarifications and the book's official errata here.

Chapter One: Core Classes

Gutter Mage

The gutter mage gains evasion as a class ability at 2nd level.

A 1st-level gutter mage has access to all gutter mage cantrips and three 1st-level spells, plus one spell per point of Intelligence bonus.

Gutter mages learn spells as they increase in levels just as wizards do, learning two additional spells each time they gain a gutter mage level.

Gutter mages can learn spells from scrolls. Doing so requires that the scroll literally be pasted or otherwise bound into the gutter mage’s spell book, thus destroying the scroll as a separate magical item. It also requires a day of study and a successful Spellcraft check (DC15 + spell’s level). If the check fails, the scroll is destroyed but the gutter mage does not gain access to the spell.

Shadowsworn

The shadowsworn gains evasion as a class ability at 5th level.

Add peerless camouflage (running the shadows) to the shadowsworn class spell list.

The shadowsworn saving throws should be +0/+3/+0 at 2nd level.

Chapter Two: Prestige Classes

Silvertongue Charmer

A member of the silvertongue charmer prestige class who does not have previous access to arcane spells gains access to six bard cantrips and one 1st-level spell when joining the prestige class at 1st level. He or she learns one new spell from the bard list with each level of the prestige class.

Chapter Nine: New Equipment and Magic Items

Magic Items

The ten-pocket cloak costs 500 gp, not 1,500 gp.
