Call of Cthulhu
Art
Preview and Autographing Photos
As
I write this, the new Call
of Cthulhu d20 Roleplaying Game is about to ship
to game stores everywhere. As a longtime fan of the original
edition of the game, I am very proud to have helped bring
it to the audience of d20 players.
While
you're waiting for the game to hit your local store (or
you can preorder
it from the Wizards of the Coast online store), I thought
I'd share some of the book's cool new art with you. My thanks
and admiration to the talented illustrators who rendered
the horrors of the game into nightmarish full color. They
are: Toren MacBin Atkinson, Paul Carrick, Heather
Hudson, Ann Koi, Kevin the dog ate my homework
McCann, David Martin, Raven Mimura, Stephan Missal, Pudd'nHead,
Adam Rex, Wayne Reynolds, Richard Sardinha, and Christopher
Shy.
Thanks
also to Wizards for sharing these advance pictures.
The
last two pieces are actually photos taken at a group autographing
at the Wizards of the Coast offices. I got together with
some of the game's other designers, editors, and artists
to sign 200 copies of the book, which will become available
through a special promotion with the Wizards of the Coast
online store. (You get a signed copy of the book AND a free
CD of Cthulhoid rock from my favorite Lovecraftian band
Darkest
of the Hillside Thickets.) You can find out more about
the promotion at the
Wizards site.
