FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Cry Havoc: The Essential d20 Guide to War

An Event Book and Mass Combat System All in One!

Illus. Todd LockwoodJuly 21, 2003 (Renton, Wash.)—Today 3rd Edition codesigner Skip Williams brings us what we've all been waiting for—the definitive d20 mass combat system—in his new event book Cry Havoc, on sale now from Malhavoc Press.

Cry Havoc examines all aspects of war in a d20 fantasy setting: from its political causes to grand strategy, from battlefield maneuvering to raising armies, and from prolonged sieges to lightning commando raids. This event book also includes a sampling of new battle-oriented spells, feats, and prestige classes, plus handy checklists to help you cover all the vital points when planning for war in your own game. And of course, Cry Havoc presents the definitive d20 System rules for mass combat—straight from the pen of The Sage!

Cry Havoc comes as a 136-page illustrated PDF file with a streamlined page design to minimize file size for faster downloading and conserve ink for quicker printing. The book features the black-and-white artwork of Ed Bourelle, Eric Lofgren, Stephen Shepherd, and Kieran Yanner and a cover illustration from Todd Lockwood. This electronic edition, regularly priced at $13, is available now from online retailers for the sale price of only $10. The book is suitable for characters of all levels and any fantasy campaign, and is totally updated for the v. 3.5 revision of the d20 System rules. Fans can sample previews of the art, the book's table of contents, and a mass combat system preview free online.

Skip Williams began working in the game industry in 1976, while still in high school, as a part-time clerk in TSR, Inc.'s Dungeon Hobby Shop in Lake Geneva, WI. On TSR's design staff he lent his talents to many product lines and co-created the SAGA game system for the Dragonlance line. As a senior RPG designer at Wizards of the Coast, Skip codesigned the 3rd Edition of the Dungeons & Dragons game, authored the Monster Manual, and codesigned such diverse works as the new edition of the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, the Chainmail game, and Deities and Demigods. He has served as Dragon Magazine's "Sage" for nearly 15 years and, at present, is a freelance game designer.
