Monkey Publishing and Necromancer Games have become Malhavoc
Press' newest partners in releasing support products for
Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed:
A Variant Player's Handbook.
Code
Monkey Publishing, creators of popular character generation
software, will be releasing official data sets for the
book in formats compatible with its major systems starting
in August. Necromancer Games, publishers of best-selling
d20 modules and sourcebooks including the Rappan Athuk
series and Tome of Horrors, has two tie-in adventures
in the works for release this fall.
"I'm
extremely pleased that talented producers are stepping
up to help support Arcana Unearthed with quality
products," said Malhavoc's cofounder Monte Cook.
"It gratifies me to see that players of Arcana
Unearthed will be lacking in nothing -- now, in addition
to a DM's screen, miniatures, and counters, we also have
computer support and a variety of adventures."
"Code
Monkey Publishing is very excited that we have worked
out a deal with Monte to convert his Arcana Unearthed
book into data sets for the character generation software
community," said W. Robert Reed III, Code Monkey's
cofounder. "We are definitely looking forward to
working with Malhavoc Press on other books in the Arcana
Unearthed line!"
Clark
Peterson, president of Necromancer Games, said, "It
is a pleasure to work with Malhavoc to provide modules
to support Arcana Unearthed. Necromancer's slogan
is 'Third Edition Rules, First Edition Feel.' No one has
the 'Third Edition Rules' part down better than Monte.
Our modules will add that 'First Edition' spice!"
Other
Arcana Unearthed partners include Mystic Eye Games,
with the introductory adventure Siege on Ebonring Keep;
Fiery Dragon Productions, with the adventure Plague
of Dreams and Counter Collection IV: World of the
Diamond Throne; and Iron Wind Metals, with the official
miniatures line debuting in August.
These
products will follow the release of Monte Cook's Arcana
Unearthed: A Variant Player's Handbook in August.
On the heels of this launch, Malhavoc Press offers a 32-page
Arcana Unearthed DM's
Screen and Player's Guide, as well as a 96-page
supporting sourcebook, The
Diamond Throne, which focuses on the handbook's
setting and some of its unique denizens.
Monte
Cook's Arcana Unearthed: A Variant Player's Handbook
offers a collection of new classes, feats, spells, equipment,
variant rules, and optional systems that you can integrate
into your d20 roleplaying games or use as a stand-alone
open-gaming system. This 256-page hardcover is suitable
for characters of all levels and any fantasy campaign.
It will be available in a print edition from Malhavoc
Press' publisher, Sword
& Sorcery. Read about the book's development
in Monte's ongoing Design Diary.
