I really encourage you to vote. I heartily support the ENnies,
and the main reason is that they are judged by entirely
by gamers. Success at the ENnies (and five nominations is
already success) means a lot to me. It means that someone
noticed all the hard work that Sue and I have put into Malhavoc
Press. We've strived to create a company that really supports
what's best for the game and for the gamer. We created montecook.com
and we update it every week so there's cool new free content
out there. We created our
messageboards, (and the boards to support editors
and writers to give us all a place to talk. For our
biggest product to date, Arcana
Unearthed, we created the Council
of Magisters to help other fans produce content and
fan sites.
I guess what I'm saying is, this all means a lot to me personally,
and so it would also mean a lot to me if you took five minutes
and followed the link above to go vote. The voting, like
I said, is entirely based on what the public thinks. Honestly,
I hope you rate Malhavoc and the website and our products
highly, but just as much I hope you get out and vote so
that the awards has as large a sampling of interested gamers
as possible.
The awards ceremony will be held at GenCon, in the White
River Ballroom at the Indiana Convention Center on Friday,
July 25. Both Sue and I will be there, as THIS is really
the big game awards for the year, as far as we're concerned.
If you're at GenCon, I hope you'll stop by, introduce yourself
and say hi. It's going to be fun.
