All
Remaining Eldritch
Might
Proceeds for the Month Go to Aid Red Cross
September
17, 2001 (Renton, Wash.) -- To help in relief efforts
following the recent tragic terrorist attacks, Malhavoc
Press will donate all the rest of the month's proceeds
from sales of The Book of Eldritch Might to the
American Red Cross.
Malhavoc's
founder, game designer Monte Cook, has pledged to donate
100 percent of this title's earnings from sales that take
place between midnight (Pacific time) September 17, through
11:59 p.m. on September 30.
"I
wanted to encourage gamers to do what they can to help
aid the disaster victims," Monte said. "This
is our way of contributing to something that's important
to all of us." He urges fans who have been thinking
about buying The Book of Eldritch Might not to
wait any longer. "Now is a great time to do it. You'll
not only get a great arcane sourcebook, but you'll help
support those in need in this time of crisis."
The
Book of Eldritch Might, Malhavoc's first and top-selling
product, is available in PDF format for $5 at
this website. This 36-page, full-color, illustrated
sourcebook won three EN World d20 System awards this summer,
including the award for Best Rulebook. Monte's other credits
include the new edition of the Dungeon Master's Guide
and Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil for
the Dungeons & Dragons game. Malhavoc's second
title is the adventure Demon God's Fane, now
available.
Malhavoc
Press will be sending its donation on October 1 to the
Seattle-King County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
